Your land.
Your county.
Your crown.
The medieval multiplayer strategy game you can hear from start to finish — and that grips sighted players just the same.
Currently in closed testing. Coming for iPhone and iPad — free to play.

Accessibility first
A strategy game that speaks.
Land and Crown was not retrofitted for accessibility — it is built for VoiceOver from the very first line. Blind players test every build before it ships.
The narrator speaks
A natural voice announces the important moments: “Spearman trained”, “Attack on you!”, victory and defeat. No glance at the display required.
Everything labeled
Every card, button and number carries a clear VoiceOver label. Lists speak whole sentences instead of fragments — including direction: who is attacking whom.

Sound and haptics
Every event has its signal: the sword for a recruit, the horn for an attack, the bell toll as the pulse of the game — audible and tangible.

Vetted by testers
Blind and sighted testers play every version before it goes live. Their verdict decides what stays.
How it plays
Build your land. Hold it against everyone.
Farmsteads deliver the goods, armies decide what is yours, and the county stands together — until someone wears the crown.

Farmsteads & goods
Your farmsteads produce wood, stone, iron and silver — around the clock, even while the app is closed. The distribution key is yours to set.

Armies & battles
Spearmen pin, lancers punch through, archers need cover, catapults break walls. The side that loses less in proportion wins — composition beats mass.

County & council
Your neighbors are your alliance: attacking each other is impossible, defending each other a point of honor. In the county council you talk in private — only your county reads along.

Watchtower & situation map
Watchtowers report approaching armies. The situation map shows everything in motion — and under attack, your horn calls the whole county to arms.

Spies & reports
Scout parties bring back reports on foreign lands: buildings exact, strength estimated — the more eyes, the sharper. But watchtowers catch spies.

Season & crown
Whoever reaches the point threshold and holds it across several bells becomes king — the round ends, and everything starts anew: new land, new county, new chance.

Three peoples
Choose your people — each fights differently.
The Realm
Balanced and fast: the armies of the Realm arrive one bell toll earlier than anyone else. Whoever strikes first dictates the battle.
The Guilds
Masters of defense: behind their walls every wall level counts half again as much, and their troops stand stronger on defense. Others attack better — but hardly anyone conquers the Guilds.
The Forest Folk
Fights from the shadows: their marches look only half as strong as they are, watchtowers miss them more often — and only the Forest Folk master sabotage, economic warfare without a single battle.
Time in the game
The bell toll is the pulse.
Every quarter hour, the bell tolls.
That is when armies take their next step and battles are fought. Your farmsteads deliver continuously — even offline. And whenever a march is out or an enemy approaches, a countdown runs right on your lock screen: you always know when it gets serious, without opening the app.
Crown Seal: comfort and sound — never power.
The optional subscription adds custom alarm sounds, a spoken profile greeting with a selectable voice, opponent notes and the report archive. No purchase decides a battle — promised, and built that way.
FAQ
Quick answers.
Can it really be played without looking at the screen?
Yes. The game is built for VoiceOver from the ground up: every card, button and report is clearly labeled, and the narrator announces the important moments in a natural voice — from a freshly trained spearman to an incoming attack. Blind players test every build.
What kind of game is it?
A medieval multiplayer strategy game: build farmsteads, train armies, scout your neighbors, fight battles. Your county is your alliance. Whoever reaches and holds the point threshold wears the crown and wins the season.
How much does it cost?
Land and Crown is free to play. The optional Crown Seal monthly subscription adds comfort and sound, never power: no purchase decides a battle.
Does it keep running while the app is closed?
Yes. Farmsteads deliver around the clock, armies keep marching, battles fall at the bell toll — every quarter hour. Marches and attacks count down live on your lock screen.
Can I play with friends?
Yes — with a shared oath word you land in the same county at round start. There you defend each other, build shared structures from the county treasury and confer in the county council.
Which languages are supported?
English and German — both complete, including the spoken announcements.
When will it be released?
Land and Crown is in closed testing. The release for iPhone and iPad is in preparation — this page remains the first address for news.
The crown awaits.
Land and Crown is coming soon for iPhone and iPad — free to play, fully audible.
